A tiny and very cute cottage set in the ramparts of a medieaval fortified village, with a walled garden, nr the bastide village of Beauville, Lot et Garonne. A charming little pied à terre offering characterful and comfortable accommodation for a couple, for holidays. Main entrance (above) is within the walled village off the green and into the beamed kitchen/dining room (20m2) with woodburning stove, tiled floor, exposed stone walls ( outer wall 1.25m thick !) and French window out to a breakfast terrace with wisteria over the door. Shower room and WC. On the first floor is the charming living room ( 25m2) with old oak floor, fireplace insert, beamed ceiling and views to the country and into the village. There is an attic bedroom with a pine floor, which can take 2 beds comfortably...up to four singles at a push ! Mind your head. To the left hand side of the house is a partly walled garden of 45m2, which is adorable, and also very practical, being shady in the hot summer months.
The village is quite unique, walled and with a ring of houses surrounding the ancient church in the middle.The green serves as a meeting place for the villagers during the summer fêtes. There are no shops here, but Beauville is just 10 mins away, offering bakery, very popular restaurant, café, general store; everything you need for day to day living. Laroque Timbaut is also close, with a supermarket. Toulouse and Bergerac international airports are 70mins.
