Many of our clients come looking for a new way of life, peaceful, in the countryside... yet they do not wish to be isolated or to spend their time just gardening !! In other words, they want an activity that brings them into contact with people , gives them an interest and also brings in an income.
The favourite amongst these activities is to buy a property with a gîte, or to create gîtes from outbuildings and then let them to holidaymakers in the Summer.... also banks holidays, Easter, Christmas etc. This usually means about 16-20 weeks rental a year, from which most people will not 'get rich', but which will allow them to live a comfortable rural life without overdoing it too much. In other words, quite ideal.
